Former Cedarbrook MVP is Playing in the Spanish Division of the Euro Baseball League Summer 2010.
Ed Alexander, 1998 Cedarbrook MVP and LML all league outfielder is playing for the Valencia Astros of the Real Federación Española de Béisboly Sófbol (RFEBS). He is one of four foreign players on the team which is all they are allowed to roster. Playing time is hard to come by since only three foreign players can play at a time and they can only play in one game of a double header.

Former LML Commissioner's Article on Mr. Richey's Nobel Experiment Featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
John Lord, former LML Commissioner and professor of marketing at St. Joseph's University, was recently invited by the Philadelphia Inquirer to write an article about Branch Richey, the architect of the racial integration of professional baseball. The article was published in the April 8 th addition of the Inquirer.
While Jackie Robinson has always gotten full credit for being the first black professional baseball player, Branch Richey's contributions are not as well known. John Lord's article in the Inquirer brings to light this sometimes forgotten piece of American history.
John teaches a course called "Baseball: Tradition and Business" at St. Joe's and he has recently worked with Philadelphia Phillies chairman, Bill Giles, on his memoirs, which will be published this spring. He can be contacted at
